Shift a Git was the first project of my final year at Isart Digital and marked my introduction to virtual reality development. Created within a team of five Gameplay Programmers, the project challenged us to design engaging gameplay tailored to VR’s unique interaction possibilities.
I contributed to the project vision by helping craft the initial One Page Concept, which laid the foundation for our design approach. On the programming side, my main focus was implementing key gameplay systems, including a scoring mechanic based on interacting with pipes (validation, rejection, aspiration, and color shuffle) as well as features tied to in-game gifts. These systems were central to delivering an intuitive yet rewarding VR experience.
This project strengthened my ability to design and implement mechanics for immersive platforms, working closely with peers to prototype, refine, and test within the constraints of VR gameplay.
