Quantum Boxes was a collaborative project developed by a team of three classmates, focused on crafting a unique gameplay experience around a specific Level Design brick concept (teleportation in our case) to elevate the base concept of the Sokoban puzzle game.
Our process began with defining this core gameplay element, followed by designing several levels and creating a One Page Document to present our vision. We validated our ideas through milestone presentations using Paper Design models, allowing us to refine the mechanics and flow before development.
My primary role was to architect the core gameplay systems using the MVP (Model-View-Presenter) design pattern, ensuring a clean separation between logic, interface / visuals, and data for maintainable and scalable code. In addition to programming, I contributed to level design by creating additional game levels and also developed some visual assets to support the game's aesthetic.
This project deepened my understanding of architectural patterns in game development and reinforced the importance of structured design and teamwork in producing polished gameplay prototypes.
