Bumpy Spheres was the first project of my third year, beginning as a small prototype developed by a team of two Gameplay Programmers before expanding in collaboration with Game Programmers to evolve the concept and prepare it for console deployment on PS4 or Nintendo Switch.
The main creative constraint was to use only geometric shapes for both the playable character and the level design elements. Our team embraced this limitation by creating a physics-based platformer starring controllable spheres, leveraging the simplicity of shapes to focus on pure movement and gameplay feel.
My contributions included designing and implementing several Level Design Bricks to serve as the modular foundation for challenges throughout the game, developing the complete UI, and building all five levels present in the game.
